Rio KITA studied polymer physics at Gunma University, Japan and received his PhD in 1999 studying critical phenomena of polymer and surfactant solutions by means of scattering methods. From 1999 to 2002 he was a postdoctoral researcher at RIKEN (The Institute of Physical and Chemical Research), Japan, working on characterizations of biopolymer solutions. In 2002 he joined the group of Prof. Wegner at MPI-P (Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research/Mainz), Germany where he was responsible to the polymer analysis group. Since 2005 he has joined the group of RGMS at Tokai Univeristy, Japan.
His current research interests includes transport phenomena of polymers in a temperature gradient, dynamics of structure formation of polymers, characterization of polymer solutions in dilute and semi-dilute regions and dielectric studies.
